24 weeks on Wednesday and I cannot wait… Is there anything I can do to make him cook faster? Call me inpatient if you will but I just want to see his little face and the pleasure of looking right into our own eyes. Yes, a product of us he is, blue eyes, dark/light hair, Miguel’s nose, and my cute feet. Ha
As you can tell we are so looking forward to his arrival as the 16 long weeks draw near… Martin Memorial Hospital is where our little champ will be born. Feb. 8th Diane and I will go see him dance on the big screen… Yep that’s right, our little future star wonder dancing to, “ Hooked on a Feeling”. It’s great, practically every day our son listens to a variety of music, Chopin, Beethoven, Classic Rock, POP, and Celtic.., We are bringing out the genius in him. Oh and a very special Thanks to his Nana K and G-Pa Ken for buying us the belly speaker kit. Anyway’s, I sure hope we get more great photos of him and I will make sure I ask to see how much he weighs this time. So that said and a bag of chips, it is time for me to work on his canvas.

It’s that time of the pregnancy, when daddy is able to feel Daren moving around inside mommy. Yep, he’s kicking up a storm: as if he’s having a party or something.
In the last couple of days, I can feel him moving around and punch or kick around. Although often uncomfortable for mommy, daddy can enjoy feeling him inside. Way cool!

Four months shy of introducing himself to this world, and Daren has managed to get one very big Christmas present, compliments of daddy’s niece: clothes, clothes and more clothes.
Last night, Daren’s Grandpa (Guillermo), Grandma (Elena), and Uncle (Carlos) stopped by the house on their way home from visiting family in North Carolina. They had informed us days earlier that they were going to deliver some baby clothes that Miguel’s niece is no longer using from her older boys. So, I imagined a couple of bags or so. Then they drive up to the house in Guillermo’s SUV and they point to a large 50 gallon bin strapped to a platform connected to the SUV’s hitch. They tell me the clothes are in it. So I help my brother, Carlos, to unstrap the bin and a I go to open it and pull out the imagined quantity that constituted “some” clothes, he stops me and tells me that the whole bin is for us.
Long story short… After sorting through the clothes that evening following their departure, we realized there was a total of 286 articles of clothing ranging from newborn to size 6. There were tops, bottoms, pants, shorts, coats, bibs, blankets, hats, gloves, booties, onesees, and so much more. Some were never even used, while most saw little use. Every piece, without exception, was in excellent “like new” condition.
Thank You, Carrie! and Merry Christmas Daren!

It is finally here: 2010. This is the year Daren will be born, and he was kind enough to let mommy stay up through the night to welcome the much anticpated New Year. We hope everyone has enjoyed the Holiday Season and have welcomed the New Year in safety.
The countdown continues.
